Visible

Visible is a printed zine produced in 2023. It is a resource for people who are homeless and an educational experience for readers. Visible particularly focuses on the vicious cycle between homelessness and low mental health, promoting free activities and social support in Plymouth. The positive visuals are included to uplift mood, the ultimate aim of the piece is to make those who so often feel invisible to feel seen and important. I was project manager and interviewer for this project, my duties including distributing tasks, writing pages and interviewing the Salvation Army and Shekinah. Both provide opportunities and support to those faced with homelessness. Visible was part of Core Living, a 2023 exhibition including projects about homelessness and food poverty. For my role in creating Visible and in the organisation of Core Living, I was awarded the faculty Equality, Diversity and Inclusion award by the University of Plymouth.
